A hundred years on the sea at Noli.

Our story

A small family hotel, looking out over the sea of Noli. The Ganduglia family has run it since 1923: the same address, the same welcome, generation after generation.

The building is older still, a fortress in the old town dating from 1465, but its view has never changed: the sea, in front, and the medieval town all around.

The building · the family

A hotel inside a fortress.

The Miramare stands in what was once a municipal fortress of Noli, the «Del Portello»: its stone bears the date 1465. Where people once kept watch over the sea, today breakfast is served.

The Ganduglia family took it in hand in 1923, and has run it like a home ever since. Many things have changed over the years, but not what matters: a reception that knows guests by name, and the quiet care of things done well. It is why so many come back, summer after summer.

The old town

A hundred years inside a thousand of history.

Our story is a recent chapter of a much longer one. From 1192 to 1797 Noli was a maritime republic, an ally of Genoa: seventy-two towers, the caruggi and a castle that watches over the sea still tell of its past. To stay here is to wake up inside all of it.

«The same welcome, generation after generation, on the same sea.»
